We’ll have to agree to disagree
I read in the Sunday Age just gone an article by economics editor Peter Martin entitled Stress: the hidden cost of having kids. I think he should stick to writing about economics.
What a negative piece. I hope you don’t have children Peter as gosh they must be feeling just great right now. There’s a good chance you’re in the stressed group.
Of course the article was based on research; nothing like research to back up an argument. Remember though, you can find any piece of research to support any argument.
What is the point of pitting those with children against those without? Gosh, instead of pointing out differences, we could be radical and point our similarities! If there are challenges, such as life represents to us every day, why not offer some advice or solutions.
Let’s go the whole hog – let’s look at Muslims and Christians, black skin and white, fat people and skinny, and let’s point out the losers, whoever you think they are.
There have to be more informative and more useful topics to write about.
Let’s just be considerate and respect each other, whether with children or not, whatever the situation.
I’d love to hear what you think.
